Introducing Runway: Know Your AI Career Risk Score
The question nobody can answer
Ask any knowledge worker about AI and their career. You'll get one of two responses.
Panic: "AI is going to replace all of us." No data. No timeline. Just dread.
Or denial: "Humans will always be needed." No specifics. No urgency. Just comfort.
Neither response is useful because neither is quantified.
We built Runway to fix that.
What Runway does
Runway gives you a number. Three numbers, actually.
Automation Risk (0-100). How exposed is your specific role to AI automation? Not your industry. Not your department. Your actual tasks, weighted by how much time you spend on each one, scored against current and projected AI capabilities.
Defensive Strength (0-100). How protected are you? What skills, relationships, and structural advantages do you have that resist automation? This is the score most people don't think about — and it's often the one that matters most.
Career Runway (Critical to Extended). How long do you have before AI significantly impacts your role? Based on your industry's acceleration curve, task vulnerability trajectory, and the gap between your risk and defense.
These aren't opinions. They're deterministic calculations drawn from labor market data, AI capability benchmarks, and industry acceleration patterns.
How it works
The assessment takes 10 minutes. You tell us your role, your actual tasks, how you spend your time, and what tools you use. Our scoring engine — manifest v9.1.0, covering 200+ task categories — does the rest.
No LLM generates your scores. The scoring is deterministic, reproducible, and versioned. If you take the same assessment twice with the same inputs, you get the same scores. Every time.
After scoring, you get a prioritised action plan. Not generic upskilling advice. Specific actions ranked by impact for your exact situation.
What comes after the score
Your score is the starting point, not the destination.
Weekly Intelligence Briefings. Every week, we scan for AI developments that affect your specific role and industry. Not the general AI news cycle. The signals that actually move your numbers.
AI Career Coach. Streaming conversations grounded in your assessment data. Not generic career advice. Coaching that knows your scores, your vulnerabilities, and your defensive strengths.
Journey Planner. A structured pathway from where you are to where you need to be. Milestones, skill targets, and progress tracking.
Team Dashboards. For managers who need to see their team's aggregate risk, identify skill gaps, and prioritise investment before it becomes a crisis.
Why now
AI capability is accelerating faster than workforce adaptation. The gap between what AI can do and what organisations have prepared for is widening every quarter.
Most career tools were built for a world where disruption was gradual. Job boards help you find your next role. Course platforms help you learn new skills. But none of them answer the fundamental question: how much time do I have?
Runway answers that question.
The uncomfortable truth
Some of you will take the assessment and get a score you don't like. That's the point. We'd rather give you an uncomfortable truth with 18 months to act on it than a comfortable lie with 6 months of surprise.
Your career has a runway. We built the instrument panel.
